the ground up

‘The Ground Up’ is a feature-length screenplay written as my senior thesis encapsulating my time and skills gained from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It follows a burgeoning park ranger stationed for a summer in Yellowstone National Park who uses nature as a coping mechanism for past traumas. It follows themes of isolation and obsession, longing for the past, and codependency all through the peaceful contradiction of one of the country’s most breathtaking landscapes. This psychological horror is currently being edited and revised.
